- The Western church confuses command and call.
- Nik told the missions agency, “You’ve created a call to missions to avoid obedience to Jesus’ command to go!”
- We waste time discerning if we should go. The only question is where to go. We all are commanded to go.
- There are two common Western responses to persecution: Pity and rescue. We remove persecuted Christians from places where they are tremendously fruitful.

- We think that the way we can identify with the persecuted church is to pray for them. That is something we should do, but the best way to identify with them is to share your faith boldly!
- When we fail to share our faith, we are actually identifying not with the persecuted but with the persecutors. The worst persecution in the world is to have no access to Jesus and we are participating in that lack of access.
- The dividing line between little persecution and widespread persecution is witness.
