78: Releasing the Miraculous in Movements & Disciple-making

LISTEN TO THE EPISODE ABOVE

Summary:

How do we release the miraculous movements we long to see? We know movements to Christ that grow rapidly are a work of the Spirit of God. Is there anything we can do to join God in releasing miracles and movements? Or do we simple wait and pray? Cynthia talks about this and some of the miracles that are common to see in rapidly multiplying movements globally.

Key Points From This Episode:

  • Every movement that is spreading rapidly have stories of miracles.  God supernaturally moves in healings, dreams, divine appointments, and other powerful ways to reveal Himself to the lost.
  • Movements can only happen through His supernatural intervention, but He choses to work through us.
  • We can do all things through Him who gives us strength and apart from Him we can do nothing.
  • Cooperate with God through dependency and prayer.
  • Proverbs 3:5,6 says not to lean on our own understanding or tools or systems, but to trust in Him to move.
  • In the book of Acts we see extraordinary devotion to prayer.
  • When God works, we must be open to acknowledge what He has done and give Him glory for it (Ps 96:8-13)
  • Let’s realign our theology to match the Word of God and what we see in the Gospels, Acts and the New Testament.
  • He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb 3:8)
  • Faith and expectancy are a big part of releasing miracles.  Matt. 13:58
  • Faith is a gift of God, but something we ask Him for and receive from Him.
  • Christ rebuked his disciples for their lack of faith.  So though its a gift, we must receive and exercise it.
  • Faith for miracles comes by spending time in the Word of God (Romans 10:17)
