Key Points From This Episode:

  • God uses young people willing to step out and believe God for multiplication
  • When working cross-culturally in a new team some of our worst issues will come up and need to be dealt with. This is all part of the sanctification process God takes us through.
  • If possible, form a team around your own oikos, but also look for the gaps related to spiritual gifting or personality and recruit to fill them.
  • When looking for a local partner take time to build trust and be willing to serve them.
  • Identify those who already have a passion for the lost and faith to believe for something only God can do.
  • God uses ordinary people who are willing to obey.
  • Take time to pursue these kinds of people when you find them, building trust and casting vision.
  • Not every evangelism tool that works elsewhere will work in your context. Experiment and then find what works for your particular place. Be willing to discard things that don’t work well.
  • In reaching Thais and other Buddhists, people respond to the love of God and the offer of prayer.
  • Miracles are part of what God does in movements but are not a magic formula to seeing people come to Christ.
  • Abiding in Christ has to do with union with Christ. All that He has is ours.
